Milton micro filters effectively remove oil/water condensate, pipe scale, dirt, and rust from compressed air systems. Serving as pre-filters to coalescing filters, they ensure high filtration efficiency and prolong element life in applications including spray painting, instrumentation, and pharmaceuticals. These filters should be installed upstream of regulators to prevent valve and diaphragm damage. They are intended for compressed air use only and must not be applied in life support or breathing air systems. Polycarbonate bowls must not be used with air from compressors lubricated with synthetic oils or oils containing phosphate esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons, as these substances can infiltrate air lines and degrade or rupture the bowls. In such cases, metal bowls are recommended. Exposure to chemicals like trichloroethylene, acetone, paint thinner, or cleaning agents can also damage polycarbonate bowls; metal bowls should be used when these chemicals are present.
