Use the Water Base Elastomer Sealant. This is to prevent bleeding and seepage from tire to the surface and will also help with discoloration.
Never fill the Striper Bottle to the top. Fill the bottle to approximately 50% to 75% full.
Never squeeze the bottle during application. The bottle is made of plastic only because if you drop it, it won’t break. It is not meant to be squeezed.
A good flush buff – a buff wherein the entire surface of the blade is flush with the entire surface of the tire. The blades and the tire must match each other. The blade is concaved and the tire in convexed. The blade must fit flush with the entire surface it is to buff. Do not chock the blade from side to side to develop a better shoulder. If that is done, a better shoulder will be established, but the surface established will not match the applicator and it needs to match perfect if you want perfect results. A perfect flush buff will establish a perfect flush surface for the Striper (applicator) to apply the white wall base coat.
Applying the base Coat/ Top Coat- Place the Striper at the place which is parallel to the axle of the tire, mid point of the downward side. With the Striper Bottle at a 90-degree angle to the tire, place the Striper in the buffed grove. At this point, no material should be coming out of the roller head.
Slowly, tilt the bottom of the bottle upward to approximately a 30-degree angle or until a steady flow appears on the roller head (a stream approximately 1/16” wide in the center). Shortly, a small puddle will develop. Do not tilt the bottle any further. Keep the bottle at this angle and apply pressure against the tire until the material spreads to the complete width of the roller. DO NOT squeeze the bottle. Let the Striper do the work. If you have applied the proper angle/pitch and pressure, the material will build.
